Print & Cut Divider Tabs for Folders & Tags

I have found this to be the easiest way to cut out printable divider tabs.

Print on card stock or heavy bond paper. You can also print them on sticky label paper. This way you won't need any glue to attach them to your file folder or journal cards/tags.

Step 1: cut out a single tab, removing the white background on all 4 sides (it should look like a rectangle, in step 1 of the photo above).

Step 2: fold the rectangle in half so that the cut bottom sides match up.

Step 3: while the rectangle is still folded, cut away the curved parts of the tab. By doing it while it's still folded in half, both sides will be the same.

Now you are ready to stick them on top of folders, dividers, (for rolodex/memory-dex cards, index cards, or for planners & journals), or you can use them as tag/journal card toppers for a way to easily pull them out of pockets.

If you have any difficulty getting the tabs on straight, try lining them up on some grid paper or other surface with lines, such as a cutting board for crafts.
