Quick and Easy Way to Re-size Images for Printing

I use an Epson ET-2650 (eco tank) and Windows 10 on my computer. Here is how you can easily re-size large images and turn them into postcards, journal cards, faux postage stamps, etc.

  1. Go to the folder where the images are located. (You may want to create a temporary folder and add to it copies of all the images that you want to print. I find it easier to do it this way. When I'm all done I just delete the folder.)
  2. Click on all of the images that you want to print (only the ones you want to print all the same size). It doesn't matter how big the original image is, as long as you aren't trying to make them bigger. They tend to get fuzzy if you try and make them bigger.
  3. While all of the images are selected, right click on one of them and select "Print" from the window that pops up.
  4. Windows 10 asks you "How do you want to print your pictures?"
  5. Select your printer, paper size, quality, paper type, number of copies of each picture, and UNCHECK "fit picture to frame".
  6. Now, at the right you will see a column of choices (use the scroll bar to scroll down so you can see all of the choices. They are:
    • Full Page Photo
    • 4x6 in. (2 per page)
    • 5x7 in. (2 per page)
    • 8x10 in. (1 per page)
    • 3.5x5 in. (4 per page)
    • Wallet (9 per page)
    • Contact Sheet (35 per page)
For large journal cards (postcard size) I use "3.5x5" (4 per page) and for smaller cards I use "Wallet" (9 per page). For faux postage stamps I use "Contact Sheet" (35 per page).

If you don't have the exact number of images that it wants to print on each page, that's OK. It will still print all of the images you selected, but if there are less than that number of images you will end up with blank space on the page. If you select more, it will print more pages.

So, for example, if you have 15 images clicked and you choose "Wallet", it will print 2 pages. The first page will have 9 images on it, and the second page will have 6.

I hope you find this helpful. If you have questions please leave a comment and I will get back to you ASAP.
